i can’t think of anything in life more inspiring than my daughter. two hundred and three days ago i took my first photo of her as she entered this crazy world. and now, almost seven months later it is the simplest things in life that are often the most important to both of us.
i wanted to capture a completely plain simple portrait of her. this is a picture of her importance to me, showing that when compared to her, nothing else even makes it into the picture. (1st place)

i also wanted to capture an artistic image of her but still keep it simple. even at such a young age my daughter is an example for me. she finds joy in the simple things of life. here she is wearing a posh hat, sitting on a fuzzy rug, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and yet… her joy comes in the ribbon.

here are some of the shots from the e-shoot with steve and beth. enjoy you guys! i’ll add more later.

i had a great time with anne marie and tony up at CMU last saturday. i road around in their back seat as we drove around to various spots that reminded them of their time at CMU together. i’m looking forward to their wedding in july.

This was the coldest engagement session…scratch that…the coldest photoshoot i’ve ever done. but, despite the fridged weather especially considering katie and will live in TX, we had a great time. we tried using hand warmers even, but those only helped in the car as we drove around from spot to spot on the campus of MSU.
