Emily & Devin | Wedding

80% chance of thunderstorms?!?! Not exactly the forecast a bride likes to see the day before her wedding! Thankfully the forecast was wrong! Saturday was a beautiful day! And Emily and Devin are a beautiful couple, with beautiful families! Far too often, though, in our culture we define beauty by outward appearance alone. On saturday, I had the privilege to see and capture: love, joy, peace, bittersweetness (i.e. the father’s expression as he walks his last daughter down the aisle to get married), excitement…and the list goes on… One of the most AMAZING days in a couple’s life. THAT is BEAUTIFUL!

A big THANK YOU to Amy for her fabulous work as my second shooter!

Alysia & Jason | Wedding

I love love love what i do. It was such a privilege to photograph Alysia & Jason’s wedding last weekend! Here are a handful of fav’s from the day!

Nicole & Mike | Wedding

I’m super excited to share these photos with you! For a few reasons. First of all, I’ve started using a different method for sharing photos on my blog. It’s called Blogstomp  and I LOVE it. Secondly, my friend Diana of Diana Liang Photography shot with me at this wedding and I really love many of the images she captured. She is a children’s photographer in the greater Lansing area, and I’ve always admired and been inspired by her work. Please check out her site and you’ll quickly see why. She is an ARTIST to the core and has a fantastic eye for composition! She wanted to try shooting a wedding with me, and I was happy to have her. A few of her images are my absolute favorites of the day!

We had a great time capturing Mike and Nicole’s wedding day! The ceremony was at the MSU Alumni Memorial Chapel in East Lansing and the reception was at the Grand Loft in Grand Ledge. I’m very pleased with the results and despite the scattered showers throughout the day, we were able to take quite a few photos outside. Timing is everything! Fortunately, Nicole had scheduled enough time for photos, so we were able to wait out the rain a few times. During one of the times it was raining we were extremely fortunate to get permission to shoot for about 5 minutes in the atrium of the new Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum! It’s amazing and you should check it out! Now…The photos! Enjoy! Diana’s photos will be indicated below each photo or group of photos.
