as i reflect on 2011 and the 25,000+ photos i took, there are many moments that stand out. moments i had a privilege to take part it. moments i feel honored to have been able to capture. these photos are some of my favorites. i narrowed it down to 100 just like last year. these photos stand out to me for several reasons; beauty, passion, love, joy, desperation, color, texture, light, composition, and just plain crazy fun. they all represent life in some way. the life i thank God i have the pleasure of capturing with my camera. i’m absolutely thrilled about what 2012 will bring! enjoy the photos and i’d love to hear from you, so please, please comment! much love & happy new year!

i’ve found a new favorite place to shoot! downtown grand rapids! there were so many amazing places to shoot and we only shot at a few of them. here are a few shots i had to post right away. i’ll have more to post later this week. enjoy!

here are some of my favorites from an engagement session with jenn & chad last weekend! it was my first time shooting in detroit, and i loved it! it was also really nice being driven around in a limo (thanks to the maid of honor carrie!) i’m so happy to be shooting their wedding next year!
