as i reflect on 2011 and the 25,000+ photos i took, there are many moments that stand out. moments i had a privilege to take part it. moments i feel honored to have been able to capture. these photos are some of my favorites. i narrowed it down to 100 just like last year. these photos stand out to me for several reasons; beauty, passion, love, joy, desperation, color, texture, light, composition, and just plain crazy fun. they all represent life in some way. the life i thank God i have the pleasure of capturing with my camera. i’m absolutely thrilled about what 2012 will bring! enjoy the photos and i’d love to hear from you, so please, please comment! much love & happy new year!

this has been an amazing fall, full of weddings! dawn and matt’s wedding was gorgeous and the weather was perfect! their family and friends were so welcoming, i felt like i’d known them for years. a big thanks to ashley and dawn for sneaking me into the bathroom in the forbidden house.

shoot a wedding at a vineyard??? heck yes please. here are some of my favs from beth & chaz’s wedding this summer. oh and on top of the vineyard, they added a sweet classic car. a fire truck, and a sunset. fun times.

let me just start by saying…i love this couple! i haven’t even know them very long, but let me put it like this. i truly believe i would have a blast playing scrabble with them at my house. they are so fun and easy to be around. they have such good senses of humor and attitudes. here is a group of photos from their wedding in july. enjoy!

i had the most incredible time with jessy & bill last weekend at the southern exposure herb farm in battle creek. it was a crazy day in that the actually ceremony was delayed 1 hour or so because of tornados close by. everyone was safe and we were able to do photos before and after the storm went though. both the ceremony and reception were in beautifully decorated tents on the grounds of the farm. what a great time!
